We were back again with our partners at Run and Become for another one of our DASH Running Labs. This time it was serious and sweaty because we were a FULL HOUSE. Awesome to have so many marathon and distance runners there practising a little running conditioning so that we keep injury free and a few of those REALLY IMPORTANT FOR RUNNERS: sprint drills. Because you’re a distance / jogger / marathon runner, you may think you don’t need these but if you don’t fire up your muscles properly and practise speed and actual reaction you’re always going to stay at the same pace. And of those of you that absolutely HATE Running, believe it or not sprinting is a good way to start (mainly because it’s over pretty damn quickly). Our Running Labs tend to follow the same format, stretching, followed by on the spot plyometric drills (designed to recruit the right muscles for the job), testing your muscle reaction and finally making sure those glutes stay fired up… The amazing thing about this month’s Run and Become Running Lab was that it was incredibly diverse and this is what we want – ages from 23 – 63 all about the sprint. We were inspired and they definitely left #fasterfoit,
