So, what’s the point of doing interval runs?

This type of training will not only help to improve your aerobic capacity and increase calorie burn it is also a “realistic way of preventing, managing and delaying chronic disease” – as our contributor Dr Joe Henson from Leicester University assures us. He goes on to tell us “the benefits may actually be greater than those seen with more “traditional” moderate intensity aerobic exercise. So, in short, you get more “bang for your buck”.
